Liz is originally from Wales, UK. She is a professionally qualified podiatrist and worked as a specialist clinician in the National Health Service in UK for 20 years. Her medical specialties are in wound healing and tissue repair, diabetic foot complications and health psychology. Latterly Liz specialized in international project management for academic, commercial and pharmaceutical research to investigate various aspects of chronic wound healing. Liz has extensive experience in protocol writing, scientific report writing and review papers and original research papers for journal publication, and writing and delivering presentations for teaching purposes and for national and international conferences. Liz has had 27 papers published in various international peer-reviewed medical journals and has given international conference presentations in many countries including North America, Canada, South Africa and Europe. She is an honorary tutor for Cardiff University (School of Medicine) and continues to mark student papers and assist medical students with their dissertations for a Masters degree in wound healing and tissue repair. She was a manuscript reviewer for the International Wound Journal and Journal of Wound Care and has co-written 3 medical book chapters. Additionally, she coordinated and managed the Cardiff Wound Impact Schedule (CWIS), a disease specific health-related quality of life tool for use on wounds on the lower limb. Liz has been working as auto-entrepreneur in France for 2 years and taught English at the English Institute in Toulon before joining LingoFacto.
